Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Operations Manager – Primary Health role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver primary care programs that align with the strategic goals of the RFDS.
Based in Launceston and as a key member of the executive team, the role will provide leadership to the primary health care teams across dental, mental health, and physical health, developing and delivering high quality, effective and financially sustainable programs. This will include identifying the health needs of rural and remote communities, developing relationships and partnerships within the Tasmanian Primary Health Care sector, and strategic and operational planning. The Operations Manager – Primary Health will assist with meeting and exceeding contractual obligations, progressing innovative models of care and ensuring consumer engagement is embedded in all aspects of program and service delivery. The role will also oversee, guide and direct the organisation's clinical governance accountabilities.
The successful applicant will demonstrate proven success in a senior role in primary care services, along with relevant professional qualifications. The ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary primary health programs and geographically dispersed teams will be critical to the success of this role. An understanding of how clinical governance is applied in a primary health care setting, together with exceptional communication skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships is also required.
This position will play a key role in advancing RFDS Tasmania's vision to improve health outcomes for all Tasmanians, particularly those in remote and rural areas, ensuring everyone has access to high-quality health care services, with one of Australia's most reputable charities.
