The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee our Play2Learn and Kids Connect programs across Katherine and Darwin. In this pivotal role, you will manage and support a team of practitioners to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed services, ensuring outcomes that meet community needs and program objectives.
You'll be part of a passionate, diverse team that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of practitioners to deliver family and children's services
* Ensure high standards of service delivery, compliance, and program outcomes
* Build and maintain strong community and stakeholder relationships
* Advocate for children, young people, and families within the broader service system
* Oversee program operations, including staffing, rosters, data collection, and reporting
* Manage program risks and uphold child safeguarding and workplace safety standards
What You Bring
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven leadership experience in early childhood, education, or community services
* Expertise supporting families facing complex adversity and socio-economic disadvantage
* Strong understanding of child rights, child protection legislation, and safeguarding practices
* Ability to manage program reporting, compliance, risk management, and staff development
* High-level interpersonal, consultation, and advocacy skills
* Experience rostering teams and ensuring service continuity
Qualifications:
* Degree in Community Services, Education, Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
* Current Driver's Licence
