This recruitment pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities.
Currently, there is one (1) permanent position and one (1) fixed term contract available for immediate filling at Casuarina Prison.

About The Role
Corrective Services is seeking motivated and experienced individuals to join our team of healthcare professionals at Casuarina Prison in the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The role combines expert clinical practice with operational coordination, leadership, and quality oversight to ensure safe, effective and person-centred care for people in custody.
The role monitors and reviews standards of practice to optimise patient outcomes and support best practice. The role provides leadership and supervision to health service staff, ensures the safe, efficient and effective use of resources, and actively participates in quality improvement, risk management and incident review processes in line with policy and governance requirements.
As part of the Health Services team, the successful applicant will be expected to:
* Maintain focus on the Department's goals concerning safety, security and rehabilitation.
* Work to improve communication and model integrity and respect in all interactions.
* Operate within the Department's Corporate Governance Framework, policies and procedures and ensure effective transparency and accountability of all Department activity.
* Operate within chain of command facilities to coordinate activities required to meet the Department's strategic objectives.
* Work collaboratively to achieve common goals and best practice and facilitate business improvements as appropriate.
Eligibility
Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
Qualifications – Successful applicants must already be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA), in the category of Registered Nurse.

* Demonstrated advanced nursing skills, knowledge and experience in care delivery across diverse patient groups.
* Demonstrated competence in leadership, care coordination and decision making in the management of patients in the primary care practice setting.
* Demonstrated ability to participate effectively as a team member and provide support and mentoring to less experienced staff.
* Demonstrated incorporation of quality and risk management within practice.
* A copy of your current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency Registration.
* Contact details of two (2) work related referees, one (1) of them being your current Line Manager where possible.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of twelve (12) months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent and fixed term, full time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
