About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for employees, guests, and clients.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Sydney. The successful candidate will work closely with our Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that our dining and catering services meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare high-quality food for client functions and events, staff events, working lunches, and other internal networking events.
* Develop menus for all meals and catered events, considering seasonal produce and common dietary requirements.
* Mentor and train kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient food production.
* Ensure food is prepared and presented according to company standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
* Oversee kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, inventory, and stock levels.
* Manage food waste and maintain cost-effective operations.
* Assist with online ordering, invoicing, and pricing.
* Step in for the Head Chef when required, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
Requirements
* Culinary qualification or equivalent experience.
* 5 years' full-time employment experience in a fine dining, corporate, or catering environment.
* Possession of a strong passion for producing high-quality, well-presented food.
* Strong knowledge of day-to-day kitchen operations (including invoicing) and adherence to food safety, hygiene, and allergen protocols.
* Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent teamwork skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
