This is a hands on leadership position where you will be instrumental in protecting critical infrastructure and managing the evolving threat landscape. The role is offered as an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. Key Responsibilities Assess and enhance the cybersecurity strategy and policies across both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments. Conduct comprehensive risk and threat landscape assessments for critical infrastructure assets. Develop a strategic roadmap that incorporates regulatory requirements, with a specific focus on the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act. Collaborate with senior stakeholders and vendor partners to ensure alignment with business resilience and digital transformation initiatives. Provide mentorship and development plans for the cyber security team and deliver regular strategic briefings to executive leadership. Skills & Experience We are seeking a seasoned security leader who brings a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Chief Information Security Officer, preferably within a utility or critical infrastructure organisation. Essential Requirements: Proven executive leadership and team building skills. A CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or equivalent accreditation. In depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulatory compliance, particularly the SOCI Act. Direct experience with the successful implementation of OT projects. Strong communication and executive influencing skills. Highly Desirable: Program and portfolio management skills. Knowledge of IT/OT networks and associated challenges, including SCADA, Cloud, and AI platforms. Strong presentation and report writing skills.
