About the job: This Allied Health Assistant traineeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain a recognised qualification in Allied Health Assistance while getting hands-on experience. Under the supervision of Allied Health professionals and support staff, you will assist the team with clinical and non-clinical tasks. This may include patient one-to-one sessions, group exercise classes, setting up equipment, and maintaining treatment areas. The Allied Health team will provide you with dedicated support and time to complete your Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance. You will have learning opportunities to explore various Allied Health career paths within Hunter New England Health. This traineeship is ideal for recent school leavers looking to gain a valuable qualification in a health-related field. Hunter New England is committed to Closing The Gap and supporting Allied Health professionals that identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. You will be provided thorough orientation to the service and role, along with networks for support and connection.

Requirements: 
- Need to have completed Year 10 at a minimum. 
- Applicants need to have finished school within the last 12 months. 
- Willingness and capacity to complete a Certificate III/IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support or Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance qualification throughout the traineeship program.
