Naavi is proud to partner with a leading manufacturer to aid in the requirement for a Head of Safety. Our client is arguably one of Australia and New Zealand's largest suppliers into the major data center and social infrastructure sectors.

You will be responsible for leading the company's safety strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements whilst fostering a culture of safety excellence.

This role requires a strategic leader who can drive continuous improvement in safety performance, develop and oversee comprehensive safety programs, and ensure alignment with industry best practices and legislative requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities include:

* Ongoing development and implementation of the company's overarching safety strategy.
* Ensuring a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
* Advising the senior leadership team on safety performance, compliance, and risks.
* Engaging with employees, contractors, and senior management to embed safety as a core value.
* Ensuring compliance with national and state regulatory safety standards and industry best practices.
* Further development of policies, procedures, and safe work practices, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
* Monitoring and managing all safety documentation, including permits, licenses, and records.
* Leading the investigation of incidents, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.

What We're Looking For

* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
* Extensive experience in a senior safety leadership role within a manufacturing or construction environment.
* Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
* Proven experience in leading cultural change initiatives and safety improvement programs.
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Flexibility to travel nationally or internationally as required.
