The Role:
* This is a senior operational position that ensures our facilities are safe, functional, and aligned with the needs of a contemporary learning environment.
* You will lead and develop our facilities team, managing reactive, preventative, and programmed maintenance programs.
* Plan and supervise capital works, upgrades, and improvement projects, coordinating and overseeing contractors, trades, and service providers.
* Evaluate compliance with safety legislation, essential safety measures, and institutional policies.
* Conduct regular audits, safety inspections, and emergency procedure reviews, maintaining accurate records, documentation, permits, and reporting.
* Manage budgets, procurement, and vendor agreements, providing strategic advice on asset management, sustainability, and long-term facility planning.
Your Skills:
* You're a methodical problem-solver with a strong grasp of safety regulations, asset management, and compliance.
* Bring leadership experience in facilities operations, ideally within an educational or institutional setting, and thrive in environments that value innovation, accountability, and teamwork.
* Proven experience in facilities and maintenance management, knowledge of building codes, permit processes, and budgeting.
* Excellent project management and contractor coordination skills, budgeting, and procurement expertise, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Relevant qualifications in facilities management, engineering, or related fields, a commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and high-quality service delivery.
