ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Founded in 1980, Christian College Geelong is a K-12 school where academic achievement is balanced with care and concern for each student’s character development and wellbeing, grounded in the Christian faith. We have five campuses across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast region as well as a rural experience for Year 9 students at an expansive farm property in Scotsburn, near Ballarat, and a unique Art, Technology and Design campus for Senior School students in Waurn Ponds.

THE ROLE
Full Time, Ongoing
The Learning Support Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting inclusive education and ensuring all students, particularly those with diverse learning needs, can access, engage with, and progress in the curriculum. Grounded in a Christian worldview, the Coordinator works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement effective support strategies that affirm the dignity and potential of every learner, with a teaching allotment of 0.3FTE.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Teaching qualifications and current registration with the VIT, additional qualifications in Special Education, Learning Support or Inclusive Education are desirable.
- Previous experience teaching in a primary or secondary school setting, particularly with students with diverse learning needs.
- Knowledge of the NCCD, Disability Standards for Education and inclusive education practices.
- Strong commitment to Christian values, ethics and principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proven experience and ability to have complex and sensitive discussions with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders as part of a team and work independently with initiative.
