About the Role As a Sales Engineer at Prometheus Group, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to both prospects and customers. Partnering closely with our sales team, you’ll play a key role in demonstrating solutions, managing technical evaluations, and ensuring our software aligns with customer needs. Sales engineers are technical sales professionals who liaise between the sales team and the engineering or technical staff. Sales engineers understand the technical aspects of our software and services and demonstrate these details to prospective customers. This is a customer-facing role where your technical knowledge, consultative skills, and ability to translate business processes into solutions will directly influence our growth and success. You'll be joining our growing SE team and working closely with our sales team to be the voice of expertise on Prometheus software demonstrations and leverage your active listening skills to ensure we can implement the right solution for our customers. Whilst you will support opportunities across our broad portfolio of products, much of your focus will be on our industry‑leading permit-to-work, planning, scheduling, and Shutdown Turnaround & Outage (STO) software solutions. These solutions enable maintenance and operations teams to plan, schedule, and execute both day‑to‑day work and complex shutdown events with precision/confidence, and to keep your teams safe during the execution of work. What You’ll Do Deliver engaging product demonstrations via online meetings, on-site visits, webinars, and industry events. Guide prospects through the technical capabilities of Prometheus solutions, mapping features to business outcomes. Provide expertise on business processes and workflows, showing how Prometheus can improve efficiency and safety. Manage the technical aspects of the sales process, including RFPs, RFIs, and scopes of work. Lead and support customer trials and proof of concepts, including consulting, configuration, and training. Create functional and technical documentation for new solutions before handoff to support teams. Collaborate with sales and internal teams as the voice of technical expertise during the sales cycle. Partner with customers to ensure solutions are implemented successfully and deliver measurable value. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or a related field. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP PM, IBM Maximo, JD Edwards, or Oracle Primavera is highly desirable. Strong understanding of maintenance work, plant operations, and safety processes. Functional understanding of maintenance work and why it is necessary Functional understanding of plant maintenance workflow, including both routine and shut down/turnaround maintenance. Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Highly motivated to own the technical aspects of the sales process. Detail-oriented, organised, and driven in preparation and execution. Why Prometheus?
