Council's Works & Infrastructure Branch is gearing up for our Bitumen Season and we're on the look out for reliable, hard working team players to join our Bitumen Services Team from November 2025 through to April 2026. These temporary positions offer a great opportunity to work in a supportive crew, learn new skills and contribute to maintaining and improving our local roads.

Bitumen Services Officers and Bitumen Services Labourers
- Full Time Temporary
- 9 Day Fortnight

About the Opportunity
Being a key team member of our Bitumen Season will see you involved in a range of tasks including road patching, traffic control, and general roadside maintenance. If you enjoy physical work, being outdoors and working as part of a team – we'd love to hear from you.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicants will have the following:
- Reliable, safety conscious attitude
- A current Traffic Controller Ticket
- A current unrestricted drivers license, medium rigid (MR) or heavy rigid (HR) truck license is desirable.
- Experience operating basic plant and equipment like rollers
- A valid OH&S Construction Induction Card (White Card)

Salary and Conditions
These roles are classified as Band 2 $34.28 per hour (Bitumen Services Labourer) and Band 3 $35.40 per hour (Bitumen Services Officer) under Mildura Rural City Council's Enterprise Agreement. Both positions include industry and maintenance allowances plus statutory suppuration.
