Nursing and Midwifery Career Advancement Program
The graduate program offers early career nurses the opportunity to develop professionally in various clinical areas. The initiative is designed to consolidate knowledge and develop skills in a supportive workplace environment, aligning with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care within the registered nurse/midwife scope of practice.
* Work respectfully and collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
* Participate in quality improvement opportunities and foster a positive workplace culture through role modelling appropriate behaviour.
* Adhere to defined service quality standards, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
Selection Criteria:
* Current registration as a registered nurse or registered midwife with the relevant regulatory body.
* Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to, co-ordinate client care resulting in positive clinical outcomes.
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to contribute effectively within the multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated understanding of the impact of social and cultural challenges experienced by vulnerable groups/communities and the role of the nurse/midwife in supporting them.
* Knowledge and understanding of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles in a health care setting.
Program Details:
* Funded for 12 months.
