About the OPPORTUNITY We have a excellent opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineering Lead to join our Central Functions line of business based at Adelaide. We would also consider applications for Melbourne.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager, you will coordinate the delivery of Cyber Security engineering & architecture services within the Cyber Security Group. You will work with the rest of the Cyber Security Group and broader Digital, Data & Cyber (DDC) function to ensure IT solutions are securely designed, implemented, and sustained throughout their life.
You will work closely with the Cyber Operations team to ensure IT solutions are integrated into the Cyber Security Operations tool stack.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead a team of Cyber Security professionals to ensure that systems are designed and implemented in accordance with their cyber security requirements
Oversee the delivery and maintenance of a Data Loss Prevention capability for BAE Systems Australia, ensuring the requirements of Legal, Export Control, and Protective Security are met
Oversee the delivery and maintenance of Identity Security capabilities for BAE Systems Australia, including Privileged Access Security and Identity Governance
Contribute to and enact the Cyber Security Strategy for BAE Systems Australia
Ensure Enterprise IT/OT services are integrated into the BAE Systems Australia Cyber Security ecosystem, enabling the Cyber Operations team to effectively respond to threats
Contribute to threat modelling practices within the Cyber Security Group, establishing a Threat-Informed Defense approach to protecting the business
Support the Principal Cyber Security Architect and the broader DDC to work towards a Zero Trust Architecture
Provide support to the Cyber Operations team during investigations and incident response as required
Contribute to the creation of security documentation for external certification and accreditation processes
Provide advice to the Cyber GRC team on the technical implementation of compliance requirements
About YOU
A degree in computer science, ICT/Engineering or a related discipline
Demonstrated relevant experience with demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, and prior role of domain knowledge and experience
Extensive experience in Cyber Security Architecture, Engineering, or Operations in an enterprise environment – Preferably in the Defence Industry
Experience using Mitre Att&ck;, STRIDE, or other threat modelling approaches
Experience working with and interpreting the Australian Information Security Manual or NIST 800-171 is desirable
Experience working in an Agile Scrum would be advantageous
Knowledge in IT disciplines such as application development, systems administration or networking
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Professional Cyber Security certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Certified Penetration Testing Specialist (CPTS) or other relevant vendor certifications – desirable
Defence security clearance NV1 or eligibility to obtain
Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
