We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to work with our team at Warrnambool site. In this role, you will perform onsite maintenance and inspect heavy vehicles efficiently.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment in compliance with regulations
* Undertaking detailed inspections and correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventive maintenance on company owned equipment
* Identify and repair or report worn or failed components etc.
* Maintain accurate records (time, repair orders and parts usage) on computer
* Follow procedures for completion of DVR's as instructed
* Complete service forms, brake forms and other paperwork accurately in accordance with guidelines
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Trade qualification as a diesel mechanic is required
* Good mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of welding and fabrication is an advantage
* Some experience within a maintenance related field performing troubleshooting and maintenance is advantageous
* Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to basic wiring, control wiring and hydraulic systems
* The candidate must have the right to work in Australia
* A pre-employment medical test may be required
