Highton Child Care & Development Centre is a small, high quality centre that aims to provide each child with a caring, safe, secure, and nurturing environment in which they can grow and shine.
HCCDC is family-owned and operated, celebrating our 30th year of caring for children in 2026. We are open from 7am-6pm (Monday – Friday) and offer long day care from 16 weeks of age until schooling, including Government-funded 3-Year-Old and 4-Year-Old Kindergarten programs.

Due to an increase in enrolments in our Kinder, we are seeking a fully-qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our dedicated team in either a full-time or collaborative team-teaching capacity.

Our ideal candidate will:
* Work in partnership with management, the Educational Leader, and teaching team to plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs
* Lead or contribute to the delivery of high-quality educational programs aligned with the EYLF/VEYLDF and NQS
* Foster inclusive, culturally rich, and engaging learning environments that respond to children’s interests and developmental needs
* Ensure all practices align with the Education and Care Services National Regulations, Act, and service policies and procedures
* Actively contribute to the development and ongoing implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
* Build and maintain positive, respectful, and collaborative relationships with families and the local community
* Support a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for all children
* Work collaboratively to ensure children are adequately supervised and supported at all times
* Where applicable, take on a leadership or team-teaching role within a room

Role Requirements:
* Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
* Full VIT Registration (provisional registration will not be considered)
* Strong knowledge and demonstrated competency in the EYLF/VEYLDF and NQS
* Current Working With Children Check
* Current Police Check
* Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification (HLTAID012 or equivalent)
* Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting training, to the satisfaction of the centre
