Heavy Diesel Mechanic Job Description
This role is ideal for a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking to take their career to the next level.
The successful candidate will have experience working on heavy diesel products and similar applications, with a strong background in mechanical trades.
* Responsibilities:
* Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field
* Diagnose and repair engines
* Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components
* Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
Requirements:
* Mechanical trades qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light vehicle mechanic or plant mechanic. Light vehicle with heavy vehicle experience will also be considered
* Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)
* Previous field service experience advantageous
Education and Licenses:
* Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
* Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
* Locally valid driving permit
* This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
