Key Responsibilities
* Generate new business leads, follow up enquiries, and convert opportunities into successful outcomes.
* Conduct scheduled maintenance and testing of fire protection equipment, including fire extinguishers, hose reels, emergency lighting systems and egress.
* Perform detailed inspections and identify system deficiencies in line with Australian Standards.
* Provide technical advice and support to customers on the correct type, use and maintenance of fire equipment.
* Respond to emergency call-outs.
* Maintain accurate service records using our asset management system, Uptick (training provided).
* Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
About the Role
We're looking for a motivated Service Technician to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, testing, and inspecting fire protection equipment to ensure safety and compliance across commercial and industrial premises.
What We're Looking For
* Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing, or equivalent fire safety qualification, with willingness to obtain Certificate II.
* At least 2 years' experience servicing and maintaining buildings' essential safety provisions and fire safety equipment.
* Proven ability to generate leads and close sales.
* Strong technical understanding of fire safety equipment.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
* Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
* Current Australian driver's licence (minimum Class C) with a clean driving record.
* Ability to provide a current police clearance and Working With Children Check (required for access to specific sites).
* Knowledge of Australian Standards AS 1851, AS 2444, AS 2293 for fire equipment maintenance and exit & emergency light testing.
* Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa with unrestricted work rights.
* Ability to use Uptick Software, advantageous but no essential.
