Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced administration officer with a strong focus on finance to provide exceptional customer service skills and support our team at Lutheran Homes Barossa.

Lutheran Homes Barossa cares for residents of Tanunda and retirement living villages in the heart of the beautiful Barossa. We are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents.

This is a meaningful role that helps provide a safe, beautiful, and welcoming environment for our residents, their families, and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver outstanding customer service with a customer-focused approach
2. Provide high-quality administrative support services
3. Maintain accurate records and databases
4. Assist with debtor/creditor accounts
5. Support end-of-month financial processes including general journals, accruals, purchase orders, account reconciliation, account reporting, and reviews
6. Complete filing and scanning tasks as needed
7. Accurately record and process accounting and financial information
8. Resolve account enquiries in a timely and professional manner
9. Support the executive team with administrative tasks


About You:

* Proven experience in administration and finance, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and accuracy
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Familiarity with the aged care sector, with empathy towards residents' needs
* Current police clearance
* Ability to pass a pre-employment physical assessment
