The Opportunity
This newly created role presents a unique opportunity to establish EOS’s first in-house global tax function.
As Global Tax Manager, you will oversee all aspects of Australian and international tax compliance, planning, and strategy. You will play a key role in optimising EOS’s tax position, managing global obligations, and providing strategic guidance on cross-border transactions, structuring, and M&A.;
Working closely with senior executives, finance, and legal teams, you will provide critical insights to support decision-making in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.
This is a standalone role where you will build capability, drive improvement, and shape how EOS manages its tax obligations worldwide.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement global tax strategies to minimise liabilities and optimise efficiency
- Advise on international business decisions, including contracts, M&A;, cross-border transactions, and expansions
- Manage compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions, covering corporate tax, VAT/GST, transfer pricing, and indirect taxes
- Deliver accurate R&D; tax reporting and integrate tax with broader financial reporting
- Oversee transfer pricing documentation, policies, and compliance
- Coordinate with external advisors and manage tax authority audits or disputes
- Identify and mitigate international tax risks, maintaining strong internal controls
- Provide guidance to finance, legal, and operational teams on international tax matters
- Implement technology and process improvements to streamline tax compliance and reporting
The Ideal Person
You will be an experienced tax professional with a strong track record in international tax compliance and planning. You are comfortable operating in complex, multinational environments and can provide clear, strategic advice to senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CA/CPA or Master’s in Tax/Finance preferred)
- 5 - 7+ years’ experience in international tax, ideally in a multinational or Big Four environment (Senior Manager or more likely Director level)
- Expertise in compliance, transfer pricing, structuring, and IFRS tax accounting
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Self-starter who thrives in building capability and working in a high-growth, fast-paced, global context
Salary / Rate
Strong remuneration package to attract a high performer with a broad range to meet you at your career point.
- $220k - $270k + Super + STI (commensurate with experience)
- Full-time in office role in EOS’s Melbourne or Canberra office
