The Company To start ASAP, full time permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to work with a successful and market leading Automotive business, based 100% at their Eastern suburbs office. The Role Joining a small and close-knit Finance team of 5, reporting directly to an impactful Financial Controller, you will perform an integral and highly visible, hands-on role where you will help shape the finance function in conjunction with the FC. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines working autonomously. Primary duties will comprise of: Month/year end reporting Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights for management Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and reporting timelines Cash Flows P/L G/L recs Payroll Processing FBT BAS Bank Recs Budgeting/Forecasting Other ad hoc tasks – as required by the FC About You Commercially focused and with strong analytical skills, you will have experience working in a similar role as an Accountant from a small, medium business with 3-5 years’ experience. The successful candidate could be CPA/CA qualified (this is not a must have, Finance degree is a minimum) and come from a range of industries. You could also have worked in a Tier 2 or 3 Accounting firm looking to move into industry for the first time. You bring a high level of accuracy, initiative, and professional integrity, combined with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
