- Two positions at Mount Lofty BotanicGarden
- One position at Adelaide BotanicGarden
What you’ll get your hands dirtywith:
- Applying best-practice horticulture across curatedgardens
- Tree and turf care, plant health, and biosecuritymanagement
- Irrigation and smart water practices
- Supporting plant curation, records, and labelling
- Event prep, site activation, and visitor support
- General site maintenance — from pruning toproblem-solving!
What you’ll bring:
- Solid horticultural know-how (ideally in a botanic oramenity garden setting)
- A love for plants, precision, and purpose
- Team spirit and willingness to mentorapprentices/trainee
- A keen eye for safety, presentation, and publicexperience

Contract:
Three Ongoing Contracts Available
Essential Qualifications: Certificate III inHorticulture (Trade Level Qualifications)
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management andassociated duties.
- The incumbent may be assigned to a position, with anotherteam or at another site to that advertised dependentonorganisational and individual developmentrequirements.
- Organisational uniform is to be worn and maintained.
- Current class “C" driver's licence, Senior First Aidcertification, current licences, permits and an ability tosafely operate a 4wd, horticultural machinery and use PPE isessential.
- May be required to work outside of normal working hours,including weekends and public holidays
- This role has functions pertaining to working with childrenand is prescribed under the Child Safety (Prohibited Person)Act 2016 as requiring a Working with Children Check (WWCC). Byapplying for this role you consent to being screened forappropriate behaviour and to the Department obtaining, orrequiring you to obtain a WWCC.
Remuneration:
GSE5, $60,060 min - $60,663.20 max p.a.
