About the Role

As a well-established and respected company in the fire engineering and building services sector, we are expanding our team. We seek a motivated Fire Technician All-Rounder who is ready to develop their career and grow with the organization while contributing to our reputation for quality and service.

Job Description

We are seeking versatile Fire Technician All-Rounders to carry out regular inspection and testing, as well as maintenance and repair of a wide range of fire protection systems, electrical systems, and related equipment across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidates will have broad skills across multiple fire systems and services and be capable of performing testing while simultaneously addressing any required repairs, ensuring all systems remain fully operational and compliant. Prior industry experience is highly valued.

Primary Duties

o Conduct regular inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of fire protection systems to ensure functionality and regulatory compliance.

o Perform testing while simultaneously addressing any required repairs, ensuring all systems remain fully operational and compliant.

o Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and restore systems to full operational status.

o Accurately record all on-site work using web-based platforms such as Uptick (or similar) for real-time updates and compliance documentation.

o Undertake system upgrades, retrofits, and modifications as required.

o Prepare and maintain service records, reports, and compliance documentation.

o Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding progress, requirements, and system performance.

o Attend emergency service calls and provide on-call support as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

* Maintain a high standard of health and safety practices across all work sites.
* Assist in project planning, coordination, and delivery when needed.
* Stay up to date with industry changes through training and professional development.
* Proactively identify and recommend system improvements or upgrades for clients.

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Fire Technician preferred
* FPA accreditation will be considered an advantage
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Relevant certifications/licensing
* Valid Australian driver's license
