Woods & Co have partnered with an early-stage, fast-growing food ingredients and commodity trading start-up, bringing global ingredients to Australian wholesalers, retailers, and distributors. As they scale, we're looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead their commercial growth.
As a Sales Account Manager, you will focus on building and nurturing long-term relationships with high-value accounts. You'll leverage 3+ years' experience in account management, food ingredient sales, global import, and commodity trading to drive revenue growth. This is a hands-on start-up role: you'll manage key clients directly while shaping our sales approach and mentoring junior team members. Initially remote under founder direction, the role will transition to our St Kilda Road office as the business scales.

What will you do?
* Own and grow key accounts across wholesalers, retailers, and distributors
* Develop and execute account-specific strategies to drive revenue and retention
* Source and manage global ingredient imports, ensuring local service excellence
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commodity trading agreements
* Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and logistics to deliver seamless service
* Provide insights on market trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities
* Mentor and guide team members as the commercial function expands
What do you need?
* 3+ years' experience in Key Account Management, ideally in food ingredients or commodity trading
* Proven track record managing high-value wholesale, retail, or distribution accounts
* Strong knowledge of global imports and commodity trading practices
* Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and strategic account skills
* Comfortable in a fast-moving start-up, hands-on environment
