Role Summary:



As a Systems Administrator at DevelopmentWA, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our technology infrastructure, contributing to its stability, security, and efficiency. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will be essential in aligning our technology infrastructure with our business needs and objectives. This role will work closely with the team to administer technology infrastructure components, manage server tasks, updates, and upgrades.



Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

* Assist in operational planning, continuous improvement, and risk management of the IT&C environment across the business.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems in consultation with external service providers and vendors.
* Follow the change management, incident, problem, and escalation process in line with ITL methodologies and operational procedures.
* Deploy and configure Microsoft 365 services to precisely match organisational requirements, including email services (Exchange Online), document management (SharePoint, OneDrive), communication (Teams and Teams Calling). Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Intune.
* Administers, maintains, and secures the Microsoft 365 environment on an ongoing basis. This encompasses user management, access controls, security policies, and ensuring service availability and reliability
* Administration of the server technology stack including Microsoft Windows Server (2008/R2, 2012, and 2019) and Linux OS,
* Administration of storage solutions, such as storage area networks (SANs), network-attached storage (NAS), and cloud-based storage. It includes provisioning storage, data migration, and optimising data storage efficiency.
* Administration of AD, Azure, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, MDT, Office 365, Patch Management, PowerShell, RDS, SharePoint, and SQL.
* Working with Managed Service providers in managing DevelopmentWA’s network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points and firewalls.
* Working with the cyber security manager in delivering cyber security operational activities, vulnerability management systems and ensuring the protection of systems and services.
* Ensure that the security and compliance of corporate data and business applications are maintained and monitored on a timely basis.
* Manage small infrastructure projects as required.



About you:

* Have a degree, industry qualifications or equivalent experience.
* High level demonstrated experience in a similar role.
* Have excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience in writing technical documents, procedures, support guides and work instructions.
* Demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure, manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining a high quality of standard in the delivery of services.
* Demonstrate the ability to perform as a member of a team while showing initiative, self-motivation, knowledge sharing and being able to operate with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrate the ability to look for opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of IT&C services that enable business processes across the business.
* Demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining complex business application systems and their business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
* Demonstrated experience of Microsoft 365 solutions. This includes a experience in managing and optimising services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune.
* Demonstrated experience in VMware and Veeam technologies
* Demonstrated experience in Microsoft technologies and tools including, AD, Azure, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, Office 365, Patch Management, PowerShell, RDS, SharePoint, and SQL.
