**About the Centre**
The recently awarded ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre (ITTC) in Digital Platforms for Net-Zero Building Ecosystem Lifecycle (NOBEL) is led by WSU, with academic nodes at University of Melbourne, Queensland University of Technology, RMIT University, UNSW, Curtin University, and key industry partners. The Centre aims to drive innovation and excellence in the field of digital platforms for net-zero building ecosystems.
**About the Position**
Western Sydney University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Centre Manager to take a leading role in the establishment, governance, and administration of the ARC ITTC-NOBEL. The Centre Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for researchers and partners across the collaborating organisations and will be responsible for overseeing business operations, financial reporting, research and training coordination, strategic planning, and engagement.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the establishment and governance of the ARC ITTC-NOBEL at WSU.
- Serve as the main point of contact for researchers and partners across collaborating organisations.
- Oversee business operations, financial reporting, and research and training coordination.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the Centre's objectives.
- Work closely with the Centre Directors to attract external funding and investment.
- Establish and manage key partnerships within and outside WSU.
- Monitor program performance and control financial commitments.
- Provide high-level advice to support decisions of the Centre's Committees.
- Ensure effective internal and external communication among the Centre's project teams.
- Drive initiatives to continuously improve the Centre's training delivery and outputs.
- Establish and manage systems, procedures, and activities to support synergistic collaborations across the Centre.
- Maintain impactful communication strategies.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- A tertiary qualification (preferably postgraduate) with experience in research project management in a university environment, or equivalent training and extensive experience in industry or government. Relevant qualifications and experience in the Centre's scope are advantageous.
- Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of professionals, including academics, industry, technologists, and administration.
- Experience in a training and innovation-focused setting, with knowledge of research contract management, intellectual property management, and knowledge transfer issues.
- Ability to prepare business and operational plans, financial and milestone reports, and briefs.
- Strong interpersonal, liaison, and negotiating skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience in identifying and pursuing development opportunities and sourcing funding to support strategic objectives.
- Skills in maintaining effective communication strategies with stakeholders and the public, including content creation, press releases, website, and social media updates.
Applicants should be aware that this role will be based at Penrith campus, however as Western Sydney University is a multi-campus university travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise.
**Remuneration Package**:HEW Level 8 $138,029 to $153,227 p.a. (comprising Salary of $116,636 to $129,479 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
