Job Description
This role is crucial in ensuring seamless executive office operations, assisting the CEO, Mayor, Councillors, and governance teams with diverse tasks. You'll have opportunities for growth, learning, and contributing to projects shaping the region.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive administrative and executive support to the Office of the CEO, CEO, Mayor, and Councillors.
* Coordinate meetings, workshops, travel arrangements, and diary management.
* Assist with governance and compliance administration.
* Support Council meetings through agenda compilation, documentation, and logistical coordination.
* Maintain and manage documentation using records management systems.
* Assist in grant application preparation, audit tracking, and risk management administration.
* Provide cross-functional team support and help coordinate special projects or events.
Requirements
* A qualification in business/office administration or equivalent experience.
* At least 2-3 years' administrative experience, preferably in government or compliance-focused roles.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication, with attention to detail.
* A professional, customer-focused approach and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ideally experience with document/content management systems.
* A flexible, collaborative mindset with a proactive attitude to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
