About our client:
Our client is a leading retail property management group managing privately owned retail and commercial assets across Perth, with a strong focus on hands‐on delivery and asset performance. This role offers exposure to direct owner engagement within a stable, long‐term portfolio.
The owner has demonstrated a strong commitment to asset enhancement, recently completing a major transformation of one centre into a destination food and beverage high street, now fully leased with final tenants currently fitting out. Further capital investment is planned, including a full repositioning and relaunch of an existing supermarket‐based retail mall.
About the role:
This is a senior Centre Manager role, suited to an experienced professional confident managing a sub‐regional shopping centre alongside a complementary portfolio of hospitality and mixed‐use assets.
You will oversee four properties within the portfolio, with the role based full‐time on site at the primary asset's Centre Management Office. The portfolio is exceptionally well resourced, with an on‐site Retail Manager, Facilities Manager and Marketing Manager (3 days per week). All support staff are highly experienced, each bringing over 20 years of shopping centre expertise.
The owner is highly engaged and values proactive communication, clear reporting and strong leadership. You will work closely with the asset and leasing teams to develop and implement strategies around tenancy mix, asset positioning and value creation across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
* End‐to‐end management of a sub‐regional shopping centre and hospitality‐focused assets
* Proactive engagement with ownership, providing clear updates on tenant performance, issues and leasing mix
* Lead and coordinate the on‐site asset team, including leasing, facilities and marketing
* Drive repositioning initiatives, including tenancy remix and marketing relaunch strategies
* Oversee budgets, forecasts, outgoings and financial performance across all assets
* Manage tenant relationships across retail, food and beverage, and hospitality operators
* Identify opportunities to enhance income, asset performance and customer experience
About You:
* Proven experience managing a sub‐regional shopping centre
* Strong understanding of leasing mix, tenant performance and asset repositioning
* Confident communicator comfortable dealing directly with private ownership
* Strategic mindset with the ability to translate strategy into execution
* Experience across food, beverage or hospitality assets highly regarded
* Strong leadership capability, able to guide experienced teams collaboratively
* Current driver's licence
