Leadership Role: Safety Transformation in High-Risk Industry
This leadership role requires an experienced General Manager with a proven track record of driving transformation initiatives across complex, high-risk environments.
* Achieve a modern WHS&E strategy that integrates global regulations into fit-for-purpose systems meeting evolving technical and regulatory obligations.
* Lead a capable team with oversight of governance, assurance, safety engineering, and environment professionals.
* Influence regulators, government agencies, customer groups, industry partners, and the Board to build a safety-first culture from shop floor to boardroom.
* Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver world-class submarine capability to the Royal Australian Navy, driving continuous improvement and innovation in safety culture and performance.
Key requirements include:
* Proven experience as a General Manager or equivalent leadership position in a high-risk industry.
* Strong understanding of WHS&E principles and practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organisational objectives.
* Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or related qualifications are highly desirable.
