As one of the largest packaging companies in Australia and New Zealand, Opal Specialty Packaging provides tailored cardboard-based packaging solutions for small, medium and large businesses. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Opal team as our site in Oakleigh is currently looking for a Dispatch Coordinator to come onboard!
Responsibilities
* Plan loads to maximize fleet utilization.
* Process interstate deliveries and ensure timely trailer loading.
* Supervise team members, ensuring clarity in job responsibilities.
* Coordinate resources, including managing leave and overtime.
* Maintain a strong customer focus to achieve DIFOT targets.
* Implement and comply with OH&S policies and procedures.
* Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations (such as: ensuring the training and documentation is completed by the relevant stakeholders).
* Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct regular stock takes.
Qualifications
* A forklift licence and relevant experience (this is a requirement)
* Experience working in dispatch operations (ideally leading a team)
* Experience in using Microsoft Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Keen attention to detail and quality
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team
* Strong communication skills and team player mentality
* Prioritization and decision-making abilities
