**Salary range**: $60,886 - $71,798 per annum + 13% superannuation. (The Hourly rate is $30.81 - $36.33)
**About the role**:
This role contributes to the success of the City by leading and supporting a dynamic team of car park operations officers in managing the city’s car parks, and the enforcement of the relevant car park legislation.
Role accountabilities include:
- Patrol on-street and off-street parking areas in Hobart.
- Issue parking fines according to relevant laws and regulations
- Ensure accuracy when issuing fines.
- Report faults in the parking system and damaged or missing signage.
- Attend court to give evidence related to parking enforcement.
- Provide customer service at Council car parks, including handling enquiries and payment disputes.
- Offer information to the public about parking, directions, and tourism.
- Represent Council professionally and follow the Code of Conduct.

**About you**:
We are looking for a vibrant and enthusiastic Parking and Information Officer to be the friendly face of our parking facilities.
What we are looking for:
- **People Person**: Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
- **Calm Under Pressure**:Ability to handle stressful situations with grace and efficiency.
- **Tech-Savvy**: Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
**Essential Qualifications and Experience**
- Completion of year 10 or a Certificate Qualification in a relevant area (Customer Services, Business Administration) with an ability to undertake and complete the Certificate III in Local Government - Regulatory Services.
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
- Current Driver Licence.
