Skills & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a taxation lawyer at the Senior Associate or Special Counsel level.
Your new role
Act as the 2IC to a talented Partner (also a Chartered Accountant), advising on taxation aspects of significant M&A transactions, including management incentive plans, structuring and restructuring of corporate groups, debt and equity capital raisings, and establishing investment funds and funds management structures across sectors like private equity, venture capital, and property. You will also advise on start-up tax concessions and VC investments.
You will be involved in tax planning, bespoke taxation advice, and tax disputes with the Cth Commissioner of Taxation and State Revenue Authorities at all stages, including private rulings, disclosures, reviews, audits, objections, and litigation.
