About the Role
We're looking for a hands‐on Assistant Production Manager to help run and improve our food production kitchen.
This role suits someone currently working as a senior kitchen hand, sous chef, production supervisor, or team leader who's ready to step into production management in a stable, weekday role.
You'll work closely with the owner to coordinate daily production, work with the team on the floor, follow systems, work on efficiency, and hygiene standards as the business grows.
This is a practical role with real responsibility, autonomy, and a clear pathway into a senior production or operations management position.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assist in managing daily and weekly food production operations
* Lead, support, and motivate production staff on the floor
* Help plan production runs, prep schedules, and workflows
* Ensure all cleaning, sanitising, and food safety procedures are followed
* Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Assist in writing and implementing new SOPs and systems
* Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements to output and qualityStep into production as required to support the team

What You'll Need
