These individuals have extensive experience across the most in-demand sectors of the valuation industry, including: preparation of independent expert reports for many of the largest public market transactions in Australia and business valuations for ASX top 200 companies and some of the largest government entities; portfolio valuations of assets and private credit valued for many of the largest global and Australian institutional investors, including superannuation funds; and a wide variety of valuation work for ASX 100 corporate clients. Since commencing in Australia in September 2021, Kroll has prepared over 28 independent expert reports for some of Australia’s largest transactions, including for the shareholders of Sydney Airport, Allkem, Altium, Blackmores, Chemist Warehouse, CSR, and Myer. Kroll is seeking highly motivated candidates to help grow our business valuation team in Australia. The role: As a Vice President, you will have an opportunity to work directly with clients and receive hands on mentoring from senior valuations professionals. From independent expert’s reports for major ASX companies, to portfolio valuations of major infrastructure assets for superannuation funds and fund managers, you will help deliver complex engagements and contribute to strategic growth with a team of high-performing professionals in a fast-paced and collaborative environment Responsibilities: Assessing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Australian and international businesses across a variety of industries and assets including (over the past two years) airports, healthcare, logistics, ports, power and renewables, retail, telecommunications; Working collaboratively within a flat team environment to help the team in forming our opinions of value; Liaising with financial and legal advisers including the valuation and investment teams of Australia’s leading superannuation funds, institutional asset managers, investment banks and law firms, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of our valuation reports;; Preparing portfolio valuations and, potentially, independent expert reports and other complex valuation engagements across a wide range of industries and asset classes;Overseeing engagements including day-to-day interactions with our clients; Building DCF models and developing discount rates for a wide variety of sectors; Providing mentoring and support to the junior team; Supporting practice development and business development; and Accessing and monitoring financial market databases, industry and company research from platforms such as Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, Refinitiv. Requirements: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline and, potentially, a CFA, CA or MBA Minimum 5 years of financial advisory experience, including experience in constructing and reviewing DCFs, comparable company and intangible asset valuation models In-depth technical knowledge in corporate finance, valuation methodologies and accounting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple assignments Attention to detail with respect to all aspects of our work Excellent written and verbal communication skills About Kroll Join the global leader in risk and financial advisory solutions—Kroll.
