Role Purpose 
The Digital Experience Project Lead will be the client-facing owner of our DXP projects in Australia, focusing on ensuring successful execution of Adobe Commerce and AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) programmes. You will be responsible for managing enterprise-scale projects end-to-end, coordinating closely with our global offshore delivery teams, and safeguarding commercial, timeline, and quality outcomes. 
You will be the face of delivery for AU clients – building trust, driving clarity, and ensuring a smooth interface between client stakeholders and our global engineering teams. This will be a predominantly remote however there will be travel to client site required. 
Key Responsibilities 
- Act as the day-to-day project lead for enterprise clients implementing Adobe platforms. 
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, proactive issue management, and alignment to client goals. 
- Project Delivery 
- Lead planning, execution, and governance for projects. 
- Ensure scope, budget, and timelines are clearly defined and maintained. 
- Translate complex technical delivery into clear client updates and decisions. 
- Own delivery RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs and proactively resolve blockers. 
- Global Coordination 
- Serve as the primary link between Australian clients and our offshore delivery centres (India, Europe, etc.). 
- Manage distributed teams, ensuring offshore resources are fully aligned to scope, priorities, and standards. 
- Maintain accountability for effective collaboration across time zones and cultures. 
- Commercial & Quality Ownership 
- Uphold margin discipline by ensuring delivery matches agreed scope and budgets. 
- Monitor effort vs. budget, flagging risks early and driving change control where required. 
- Safeguard quality, ensuring work meets Adobe standards and DEPT’s delivery reputation. 
Required Experience 
- Proven track record (5+ years) in digital project or programme management, ideally in a consulting or agency workplace. 
- Direct experience delivering Adobe Commerce and/or AEM projects, preferably enterprise-scale. 
- Strong background in working with offshore delivery teams – balancing local client expectations with global delivery models. 
- Experience in enterprise RFPs, project governance, and reporting at Exec level. 
- Solid understanding of agile and waterfall delivery methodologies, SOW management, and change control. 
- Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship management skills. 
- Commercial acumen – ability to track budgets, protect margins, and negotiate with confidence. 
- Familiarity with Adobe Campaign, Target, or broader Adobe Experience Cloud stack. 
- Exposure to Shopify or other DXP/eCommerce platforms. 
- Background in digital consulting, solution design, or pre-sales support. 
- PRINCE2, PMP, or Scrum Master certification (not essential, but valued). 
This role is based in Australia and may involve remote work with periodic travel to client sites.
