Job Overview
This role oversees the procurement of components and materials necessary for maintenance tasks and defect management. The position operates on a shift-based schedule, including weekend shifts at Cairns Airport.
Main Responsibilities:
* Sourcing required components while monitoring inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability.
* Liaising with approved maintenance providers to maintain up-to-date information on component requirements and managing component shortages as they occur, including after-hours support and coordinating component loan arrangements.
* Generating and managing purchase and repair orders, coordinating logistics for component shipments, and overseeing the receipt, storage, dispatch, and stocktake of both inventory and supplier consignment stock.
* Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, resolving issues as they arise, and supporting Finance by coding invoices, allocating costs, and recommending approval or dispute of payments.
* Managing components removed during maintenance events by assigning items appropriately and overseeing repair cycle initiation, pre-repair holding, and core return processes.
