Overview

Job Description At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training. Multiple, ongoing full-time roles located in Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Forster, Lismore & Murwillumbah with flexible work arrangements. Competitive salary: $99,938 to $110,271 plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Attractive benefits such as flex time, generous holidays and paid parental leave.

Responsibilities
* Provide a full range of asset services to a group of schools within the assigned area of the regional North Coast Asset Management Unit (AMU).
* Support the implementation of facilities management programs and maintenance works to provide high quality, professional service delivery.
* Liaise with consultants, contractors, and other asset management staff to support the design, development and construction phases of projects.
* Prepare project briefs, status reports, financial information, and other associated documentation to inform decision making on the delivery of facilities management projects in schools.
* Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in schools, including community groups, Principals and staff.
About You
* Asset, Construction or experience in a similar field is desirable.
* Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to work in an environment of change.
* Solid computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential Requirements Of The Role
* Current and valid Driver's licence.
* Willingness to travel across the assigned Asset Management area of North Coast NSW.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.

Other Information

The selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening, including a National Criminal History Check. As a condition of employment, successful candidates not currently employed by the Department must provide a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number. Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations apply only while the WWCC is valid. Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens or a valid work visa). Ongoing (permanent) roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents and New Zealand citizens, while temporary roles welcome applicants with a visa.
