About the Role
This role involves working as the primary point of contact on the ward, providing assistance and direction to visitors by accessing patient information and offering an effective and courteous front counter service. You will conduct interviews with patients to verify information and financial details for completing the Patient Election Form (PEF) process.
Support duties include secretarial tasks for meetings, ordering supplies, and other responsibilities assigned by the Nurse Unit Manager. It is essential to comply with and adhere to Queensland Health policies, procedures, standards, and legislation relevant to the role and work area.
Your key responsibilities include prioritizing workload effectively, performing duties responsibly in the absence of supervision, attending compulsory meetings and training sessions, and disseminating information within the area. You will also contribute to patient safety and quality in the delivery of healthcare by actively participating in safety and quality practices.
