Job Description
The role involves leading and implementing new policy to set the future strategic direction of Defence's technology and strategic capabilities. This requires individuals with experience in policy development, identifying strategic implications in complex material, building relationships within and beyond Defence, and working under limited direction.
Strategy, Policy, and Industry Group is looking for professionals with an interest in working in the national security environment, having an understanding of technology, policy, national security, or international relations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Aligning Defence's strategic capabilities with Government strategy, direction, and objectives.
* Representing Defence's equities within whole-of-Government and international forums.
* Supporting Defence's international engagement on strategic policy relating to strategic capabilities.
* Developing policy to enable the integration of strategic capabilities and technologies into the ADF.
