Offer description

Create your best future and join Westpac as a Manager, Value & Performance Monitoring Lead, Transformation Strategy & Design

This role will play a crucial part of the UNITE team. UNITE is our business-led, tech-enabled transformation, and a key priority for the Group. UNITE is about delivering 'one best way' to make our processes, systems and tech simpler so we can deliver a better experience for our customers and make things easier for our people.

What’s the role?

- Shape the UNITE Integrated Plan: Support the development of strategic options and value drivers across customer and business design; contribute to aligning scope, priorities, and sequencing.
- Build business cases: Support the Integrated Plan & Discovery teams to develop robust portfolio-level and TSP-specific business cases, grounded in transparent assumptions and evidence.
- Maintain customer design integrity: Support build and update of single source of truth for Customer Design definitions—covering cohort segmentation, product exposure, and channel activity.
- Support delivery hand-off: Support preparation and translation of design choices for Discovery/Delivery teams to ensure speed, fidelity and quality of execution.
- Monitor business readiness: Design and manage reporting for key business readiness indicators; collaborate with divisional teams to align and aggregate performance reporting.
- Track value realisation: Build dashboards and reports to track benefit and contra-benefit drivers (e.g. customer attrition); support realisation activities as execution begins.
- Translate financial impact: Work with Finance to interpret the UNITE business case into financial shape impacts across Group and divisional levels.
- Connect across the program: Collaborate closely with Design Leads, Finance, and divisional teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and accountability.

What do I need?

- Financial acumen: 3-5 years of proven experience in financial modelling, valuation, and business case development; strong understanding of financial statements and forecasting.
- Analytical mindset: High attention to detail and structured approach to problem-solving; able to work independently on complex, time-bound tasks.
- Data fluency: Advanced Excel skills and/or coding experience (e.g. Python, SQL) to manage and interpret data sets.
- Executive communication: Ability to translate technical and analytical insights into clear, compelling presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Builds strong, trusted relationships across functions and seniority levels.
- Commercial insight: Applies sound judgement and commercial thinking to identify opportunities and risks.
- Performance tracking: Experience monitoring initiative performance and providing insights to improve adoption and outcomes.
