Join a Major Marine Construction Project in Adelaide We are seeking experienced Piling Crane Operators and Riggers to join a Tier 1 marine construction project delivering large-scale piling and wharf extension works.
Piling Crane Operator – Key Duties
Operate mobile cranes for piling and marine works safely and efficiently
Lift, move and place piles, precast concrete elements and fenders for marine piling works.
Conduct pre-operational inspections and report any mechanical faults or maintenance issues.
Plan lifts with riggers and supervisors, ensuring accurate placement per drawings and specifications.
Ensure compliance with site safety standards, lifting regulations and marine construction requirements.
Maintain clear communication with riggers, dogman and site management crew.
Keep records of crane operations, maintenance and inspections.
Advanced & Intermediate Riggers - Key Duties
Assist in the handling and placement of piles, fenders and precast concrete elements
Assess loads for weight, balance, and lifting points, including piles and precast marine materials.
Provide hand or radio signals to crane operators during lifts and placements.
Ensure all rigging activities comply with site safety standards and marine construction procedures.
Inspect rigging equipment for wear or damage and report unsafe gear.
About You
Proven experience with piling works (steel tubular piles, sheet piles, vibratory and hydraulic hammers)
Strong knowledge of lifting techniques and safety protocols
High commitment to safety and teamwork
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
Hold relevant High Risk Tickets for rigging or crane operating roles ( RA, RI, CO )
Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
Hold a Construction White Card
