The University Library is seeking your expertise to manage our website and digital presence. Base Salary $112,628 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata).
About the opportunity
This exciting job-share opportunity is responsible for the operational management of the Library's website and for developing a range of innovative digital initiatives that promote Library services and resources to the University and the wider community across our digital presence.
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), integrated library management systems and discovery interfaces (Ex Libris Alma and Primo VE), and/or Springshare suite of products would be of benefit.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* Maintain and manage the Library's web presence, including implementing enhancements, overseeing updates and changes, troubleshooting, user support, and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
* Provide a seamless and coherent user experience for a diverse audience.
* Provide website design and development advice to Library staff.
* Actively participate in digital improvement projects.
* Evaluate user experience, leveraging analytics, research, or assessment activities.
* Collaborate with library colleagues and other stakeholders, such as the University's ICT and Marketing/Communications teams, to identify and implement ongoing improvements.
* Experiment with new and emerging technologies for delivery of digital services.
* Actively contribute to the team, Library and University culture and values.
About you
* Demonstrated experience with web design and a practical understanding of modern, accessible UI design.
* Demonstrated experience with technical standards, languages, frameworks such as HTML/CSS, Python, JavaScript, React, Angular.
* Good understanding of customer‐centric design, UX principles and methodologies.
* Familiarity with web accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design.
* Demonstrated commitment to the development of innovative services and proven ability to solve complex, non‐routine problems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Understanding of libraries or cultural institutions and the teaching and research activities of universities.
