Your Impact:
As Audit Manager, Treasury and Financial Risk Audit, you'll report to the Executive Manager in the team and play a key role in delivering audits focused on Bank's Financial Risks particularly related to the frameworks, policies and models for: Market Risk, Funding, Liquidity and Capital.
Our team are specialists in reviewing the effectiveness of frameworks and policies that seek to mitigate the risks associated with our internal and external obligations for market risk (traded and non-traded market risk), liquidity and funding (secured and unsecured).
Our team work in an integrated way with numerous specialist and business unit audit teams; namely, Institutional Banking & Markets, Wholesale Credit Risk Audit, Models, Artificial Intelligence and Data Management, Financial Services, ASB & CBA Europe NV audit teams.
This is a dynamic role where adaptability, sound judgement, and collaboration are essential. You'll work on meaningful projects that protect our customers and strengthen the bank.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Sydney, NSW.
What You'll Do
* Participate in all stages of audits – planning, fieldwork, reporting and closure.
* In line with CBA Internal Audit Methodology, operate as a team member across audits, effectively plan and deliver audits across Market, Liquidity and Funding risks.
* Support the development of a risk-based audit plan and refresh it regularly.
* Use data analytics and digital tools to enhance audit efficiency and insights.
* Prepare clear, concise reports for senior stakeholders and Board committees.
* Build strong relationships across the business to provide holistic risk coverage.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within GA&A.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
* Experience in Compliance, Risk and/or Audit within an authorised deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) or other financial services firm.
* Understanding of Liquidity, Market and Capital Risk.
* Understanding of risk modelling and / or validation experience covering traded and / or non-traded market risk models used for Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (APS 117), Market Risk (APS 116), Operational Risk and / or Credit Risk.
* Experience with building, validating and / or testing liquidity risk modelling and frameworks is desirable, but not mandatory.
* Excellent communication skills – able to present findings clearly and confidently.
* Ability to work with urgency and deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Proficiency in data tools and reporting dashboards.
Minimum Qualifications
* Tertiary Qualifications – hold a tertiary qualification. Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Actuarial Studies, Finance, Business, Engineering or equivalent practical experience and/or internationally recognised audit qualification
* Typically 5+ years relevant experience in risk management (Line 1 or 2) or Internal Audit.
