Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia) is one of Australia's largest autism‑specific service providers, with a comprehensive school program. As a not‑for‑profit, we partner with families and students on the autism spectrum to deliver evidence‑informed, person‑centred solutions that are family‑focused and customer‑driven.
Responsibilities
As a classroom educator, you will create a tailored learning environment for students on the autism spectrum using evidence‑based practices. Class sizes are small and you will work closely with a dedicated teacher aide, speech and occupational therapists, school psychologist, and families to develop and deliver quality learning programs. This multidisciplinary approach will deepen your professional skills and help you achieve your career goals.
Qualifications
* NESA registration to teach in NSW
* Special Education qualifications are preferred
* Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with other intellectual disability (desirable)
* NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment
* Depending on the school's location/requirements it may be essential to have a current driver's licence
* A Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence (desirable)
* You may be required to provide an international police clearance.
