Employment Consultant
This role requires a professional who can build mutually respectful relationships with Aboriginal Elders, employers, government, and service providers. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of clients' barriers and be able to develop employment goals plans to support them achieve these goals.
* You will work together with clients to understand their skills and strengths, and create tailored job plans to help them secure sustainable employment.
* As part of our team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to increase employment opportunities for your clients.
* Providing high level customer service to our clients, employers and stakeholders is essential in this role.
* Building sustainable relationships with local employers, registered training organisations and community organisations is also crucial.
* You will have the opportunity to explain the benefits of hiring someone with a barrier or disability.
Requirements:
* The ability to overcome objections and break down employment barriers that exist.
* To deliver efficient and effective strategies to positively engage employers and build sustainable relationships.
* Awareness of the vulnerabilities and positive effects of employment.
* Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
* Understanding of the ability to learn and work with potential employers to source employment.
* Well-developed problem-solving skills are essential in this role.
