About the role
This full-time Landscape Gardener position with O'Connor Harvesting Co ( Vic ) Pty Ltd is based in Mildura, VIC 3500. You will be involved in all aspects of landscape gardening, contributing to the design, construction, and maintenance of outdoor spaces.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare plans and drawings, select appropriate materials and plants, and schedule landscape construction.
* Set out and install hardscape and softscape structures, including gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, ponds, barbecues and garden furniture.
* Prepare seedbeds and growing sites, and plant trees, bushes, hedges, flowers and bulbs.
* Prepare lawn areas by spreading top soil, planting grass, or laying turf.
* Determine irrigation system hydraulics parameters and install systems, including pumps and meters.
* Test, maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure maximum performance.
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
* Use technology and Apps to report daily achievements and maintain accurate records.
* Perform other related tasks as required by the Director
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in horticulture, landscaping or a related field
* Demonstrated ability to design and draw landscape plans tailored to client needs and local climatic conditions
* Proven experience in installing, testing, and maintaining irrigation systems.
* Good problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* Experience prioritizing work commitments and meeting project deadlines.
