Offer description

* Legal (Commercial / M&A / IT & Cyber Governance)

The GOGO Foundation is an Australian charity dedicated to supporting women facing significant barriers to employment, including long-term unemployment, trauma and domestic violence. Through its trauma‐informed Inclusive Work Program, the Foundation helps participants rebuild confidence, strengthen wellbeing and develop practical workplace skills. The program provides tailored support designed to foster resilience, independence and pathways into sustainable employment or further study. Complemented by social enterprise initiatives that offer hands‐on work experience, the GOGO Foundation focuses on creating inclusive opportunities that promote economic security and long‐term participation in the workforce and community.

As the Foundation enters its next phase of strategic growth and sustainability, they are seeking to appoint experienced Non‐Executive Directors to strengthen Board capability. Morton Philips is proudly partnering with the GOGO Foundation to attract three new Non‐Executive Directors to join the Board.

We are seeking strategic thinkers who bring sound governance capability, financial literacy and a collaborative boardroom style, alongside a genuine commitment to social impact. The following three areas of expertise are of particular interest:

Legal (Commercial / M&A / IT & Cyber Governance)

A qualified lawyer with strong commercial capability and an understanding of the social services/NFP environment. Experience in mergers, strategic transactions, risk oversight and cyber/data governance highly regarded.

A Director with demonstrated experience developing and overseeing fundraising strategy at board or executive level, ideally with established networks across philanthropic, corporate or major donor communities. Proven track record in major gifts, capital campaigns or corporate partnerships. Experience shaping revenue strategy at board or executive level.

A Director with deep understanding and/or executive experience within the employment and workforce ecosystem. This may include experience with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, Workforce Australia, business partnerships and business development, ESG strategy, corporate sponsorship, human resource management, recruitment and employment services.

Appointments are voluntary and Directors may be based anywhere in Australia.

Confidential enquiries can be made by contacting Katherine Myers-Scott or Tara Hancock at Morton Philips on (08) 8210 8510. Applications are welcome directly via the Morton Philips website.
