Role Overview
We are seeking a Supervisor / Team Leader for our construction materials laboratory. This role will support the Raw Materials Manager with daily laboratory operations and provide technical assistance to our concrete masonry operations across Australia.
This is an opportunity for a Field Tester or Laboratory Technician in construction materials to advance their career.
The position is available on a permanent full-time basis at our Masonry site in Stapylton, Queensland.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise the Adbri Masonry construction materials testing laboratory.
2. E nsure safe working systems and procedures are followed at all times.
3. Manage product quality and compliance to specifications and standards.
4. Conduct regular inspections and calibration of test equipment.
5. Provide technical assistance and training to laboratory technicians & machine operators per approved procedures and test methods.
6. Assist with the development of concrete mixes for our concrete masonry product range.
7. Maintain laboratory NATA accreditation and quality compliance to ISO9001 for the manufacture of concrete masonry products.
Requirements
1. 3 – 5 years' experience in construction materials testing.
2. Minimum Cert III in Laboratory Techniques (or equivalent).
3. Strong leadership attributes including good people management skills, passion and drive to mentor and develop staff, and good emotional intelligence.
4. NATA Signatory with a high level of competence and understanding of NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
5. Collaborative and Innovative problem-solving abilities.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
7. Competency in Command software (for concrete production).
8. B asic knowledge of SAP.
