Disability Support Worker
The role of a Disability Support Worker plays a vital part in safeguarding the well-being of individuals with disabilities. As a support worker, you will be responsible for providing assistance and care to our clients, promoting their independence and quality of life.
* Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, housework and household administration, personal care for low care recipients.
* Support clients to perform important daily tasks and facilitate daily personal hygiene and dressing tasks.
* Perform home-based tasks such as food preparation and housework, and undertake tasks outside the home such as shopping.
* Ensure varied programs of social activities and promote community access and social inclusion.
* Provide emotional support and personal care to all clients, both in their homes and out in the community.
* Collaborate with clients to set and achieve goals, ensuring their needs are being met.
* Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, recording any concerns and reporting them to relevant professionals.
* Work independently, as well as under direction and within a team environment.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality support services.
