Primary objective
Lead the Executive Support team to provide high level strategic and administrative support and advice to the Executive
Directors and Senior Management group of the Environment Division to ensure the division aligns with Departmental
obligations and NTG policies.
Context statement
The position will report directly to the Executive Directors Environment and Heritage and Environmental Regulation
Divisions. The Executive Support team provides a range of administrative support, including travel, recruitment, financial,
procedural and logistical support for everyday functions. The Executive Support team is a small team that works
collaboratively across the division to ensure the administrative support is timely, consistent, accurate and effective at
enabling the operations of the Environment Division.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide high level strategic and administrative support and advice to the Executive Directors and Senior Management
group of the Environment Division.
2. Contribute to, and support, organisational strategies that ensure the Division's management practices are consistent
with government policies and legislative requirements.
3. Provide budget, procurement, human resources and business advice to the Executive Directors and senior management
to enable informed decision making.
4. Manage the Executive Support team and oversee the delivery of its functions.
5. Coordinate the Northern Territory's response to the National Environment Protection Council annual reporting on the
National Environment Protection Measures implementation.
1. Represent and provide secretariat services to the Environment Work Health and Safety Committee.

Environment Protection Authority.
2. Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as business management, public administration or governance.
