JENNY'S PLACE, is a leading non-profit organisation providing safe passage and transformational support to women and children living with Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, and/or Homelessness.
We have been providing trauma-led practical support and championing the rights of some of the most uniquely vulnerable people in our community for almost 50 years now, and we have earned the trust and the understanding of our community.
We don't just need our clients to survive, we need them to heal.
As we look to the future, we are seeking to recruit a committee member with a clinical psychology background, who can support our vision to strengthen the Early Intervention and Recovery programs at Jenny's Place.
Our Vision is to become the most credible and respected innovator in the domestic, family violence and homelessness service sector, and to lead the way in shaping early intervention and recovery. We aim to succeed by engaging the whole of society to help solve the problems of intergenerational violence in our community.
The Role
* Help Shape the Jenny's Place Centre for Change, and Centre for Learning
* Provide trauma led, clinical expertise and strategic leadership and guidance to the CEO, the Committee and the wider organisation
* Collaborate with fellow Committee members to develop and oversee Jenny's Place's strategic plan and monitor key milestones
* Support the CEO and Committee do deliver optimal NFP and Sector Governance standards
* Actively participate in bi-monthly Committee meetings
* Advocate for Jenny's Place vision and initiatives within your network
* Support fundraising efforts and community engagement activities
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Psychology
* Master of Psychology (Clinical)
* Ideally currently registered with AHPRA-PBA Registered Psychologist
* A minimum of 5 years working as a registered Psychologist
* Experience in the DFSV trauma and counselling space
